Online ECF rapid and blitz Grand Prix tournaments start 5th April 2026

Online tournaments are organised by the ECF and this year's ECF Online Grand Prix Series starts with the first Lichess Online Blitz tournament taking place on Sunday 5th April 2026, followed by the first Online Rapid tournament on Sunday 26th April.

There will be two Online Grand Prix series (Blitz and Rapid) each with nine events running on Lichess from April to December. The blitz events will be at 2.00pm on the first Sunday of each month, and the rapid events will be at 2.00pm on the third Sunday of each month (except for the first month where the April rapid will be one week later on 26th April).

All games will be ECF rated in the online lists. There will be trophy prizes for the top three finishers in each of the Open, Senior (Over 50), Women’s, and  Junior (U18) categories, and for the top two finishers in each of four rating limited categories (U2000, U17000, U1400, U1100). The prizes will be awarded based on best six results from the nine events in each series.

Once you have completed your entry you should apply to join the ECF Online Blitz or Rapid club(s) on Lichess at the links below, and you will be all set to take part in the Grand Prix.
